  So true ...

  Witness youth are so sheltered from reality, it's a wonder one hasn't just FLIPPED-OUT yet. Then again, maybe I just haven't heard about it.

  Another Good Friend Died

  when will it stop!

  i know the answer, when i'm the one in the casket.. my good friend that my brother and i bowl with on mondays died saturday.

  we went over today and the guy that runs the place ask, "did you hear about gurney?

  condolences ken ...

  its almost sad to say that at 39, i've had to say goodbye to more people than i care to mention. three were very close to my heart .... but i feel sorta like I've absorbed them ... and I find myself using their 'isms' -- doing and saying things they way they would have.

  i guess its a way of keeping them near.

  now, her mother takes care of her father and mother's financial situation.

  What!!?

  Just before I left at 19, I stupidly told a friend in confidence (a loyal dub to this day) that I was gay, he immediately stabbed me in the back and told the elders.

  Soon ... the rumors started (traced back to a sister who runs a beauty parlor). The rumor eventually giggled its way back to my mother, who was understandably devastated when she heard that her only son was running around town in a dress . And this sister who started the spreading the joke, while apply blue rinses, was a dear friend of my mother's.

  It was all I could do not to inflict bodily harm on that lying %&ch! I sat in my car one day, talking myself out of going in ... because I knew if I confronted her and she LIED about it, I would go to jail.

  What a fine example of the sort to be found in Jehovah's organization!

  well saw him on the academy awards last night...ok, np.

  today on the oprah show, chris rock was on there tooting bout how prince had an after oscar's party, with many there including himself.

  and how prince did a few tunes.....hhmmm wonder how many from his cong were there, you know the reverant window washers and carpet cleaners.... no, just bad worldly associations.

  Can anyone provide information about the voting change

  no longer can they hide things such as their hypocritical un involvement, policy changes on voting because they lost a law suit in france or trying to keep their image clean by keeping pedophile issues hidden in local kingdom hall closets.

  can anyone inlightten me as to when the policy on voting occured, what the change was, and did it reach beyond the borders of france.

  But then again, if witnesses had voted in mass ... they would have probably voted along the other 'folks' who carried their bibles to the polls.

  What a crock that is.

  It reminds me of a time when I ask my mom how did the 144,000 know they were part of the 144,000? She said that they 'just know'.

  The irony here is that the 'two' in our KH who were ... also happened to be known for something less celestial, like not having both oars in the water.

  I would just lie about it ....

  and surprisingly, I felt very little guilt in that respect. i auxiliary pioneered as a teenager. i basically did it to make my mom happy. but all the while i was secretly engaged in all sorts of forbidden behavior associated with the "bloom of youth". all my witness cohorts were too.

  so i fudged the time slip ... and basked in the accolades.

  what a good little JW i was.

  Allosaurus & Eve ...

  i was always fascinated with dinosaurs as a kid.

  i remembering asking my mother how come the bible doesn't mention the dinosaurs ... i mean, if he created everything, he must've created the dinosaurs.

I mean, if he created everything, he must've created the Dinosaurs. Why no mention? I forget what you told me ... something unsatisfactory about the great giants or something like that.

  If man has only been here for 6000 some odd years ... millions of years after the last dino died , how come these great creatures, which are undeniably part of earth's history, not mentioned in the greatest story ever told? Could it be that the bible writer's knew nothing of the great beasts that walked before them? Or was it that god didn't see fit to inspire those men with the knowledge of that incredible eco-system, which he must've gotten bored with and destroyed?

  To me, the fact that Dino's existed is evidence of evolution over creation.

  What's dub rhetoric in that respect?
